We asked each of our teachers a few questions to get to know them better!
Meet Kevin Osburn!
When did yoga first become a part of your life?
I started Yoga in 2012. Prior to that I had access to Pilates and was part owner of a Pilates studio in Colorado. The cost of Pilates made Yoga more accessible.
When did you begin teaching? What made you decide to progress from student to teacher?
I started teaching around 2016. In 2013 after practicing for a year I wanted to learn more about the practice. I looked into where the teachers I was with were trained and looked into their program. They had a 200hr program starting soon so I went down and talked with them, and the training began.
What is your personal practice and practice that you teach?
My personal practice is based on my Pilates background along with my research during my 500hr training on lower back issues and aging. I have a slower flow style taking momentum out of the practice and ways to protect the back when in movement. A strong core also helps and I bring that into my practice especially the Aerial classes.
If you could be any animal in the world, what would it be and why?
My spirit Animals are Hawks and Herons. As to what would I like to be? My dog. But I will have to stand in line for that as several friends have already stated that they want to come back as my dog in a future life ;) Unconditional Love is the answer
